United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith at Resurrection is driven by God’s love and united in sisterhood. With a focus on women, children and youth, we believe love in action can change the world.

Building Better Moms

Building Better Moms (BBM) strives to build a community of moms who learn, grow and serve together. BBM members meet together in a larger group setting, but are connected with a small group of moms who share a table at each BBM meeting throughout the year.

Women of West

Women of West meet at various times throughout the week at our Resurrection West location for women’s groups and studies. To find out more about specific options, contact Ashley Colbert using the button below.

RezMoms

provides community, connection and fun for mothers from all Resurrection locations. We meet at Resurrection Overland Park on the 2^nd Saturday of each month from 9-11a and for various social events throughout the year. I am a 55 year old single Mom who runs her own businesses. My Daughter Amelia is a sophomore and lives with me here in Overland Park. Amelia teaches me every day and I am most grateful for the experience of being a Mom to her. I grew up as a United Methodist Minister’s daughter (step) since I was 8 years old . I grew up in a church and knew I needed a church home when I divorced 6 years ago! The church has been a safe space and a healing place for me and I’m so thankful for its existence!

Lisa Wilt is an inspirational speaker and author of multiple books. Lisa is founder of Lisa Wilt Ministries to encourage weary people and worthy ministries, with all proceeds from her speaking and books being donated to charity. For over 35 years Lisa has worked full-time as an award-winning pharmacist in community pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry. By grace, Lisa and her husband – a physician – have two grown children who have followed in their medical footpaths.

I am a 25 year old Pre-K teacher at Barstow. I am incredibly passionate about serving and loving the next generation of leaders. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy running, baking, reading, and chatting with friends over a great cup of coffee. Although I have never led a small group before, I have felt the Lord leading me to step outside of my comfort zone and try something new this year. Community is so vital to fostering a deep and meaningful Christian life, and I am eager to see where the Lord leads my group! I am envisioning a meeting space that is inviting and welcomes the ideas of dynamic and creative women. That said, I would love my small group to consist of monthly coffee gatherings.

Jennifer Lennan

Jennifer Lennan loves being part of the Resurrection Overland Park community! She joined Resurrection a little over a year ago and attends services at the Overland Park location, Leawood location on Sunday evenings, as well as online. Jennifer is a life-long resident of Kansas City, and she currently lives in Lee’s Summit with her son, who is attending college, their dog and cat. In her free time, she likes to go on nature walks, reading, and watching movies, but most of all enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her pets. Small groups have been an important part of her spiritual growth and have resulted in many life-long friendships. Jennifer is looking forward to making new connections at Resurrection and possibly launching a new small group.

Ashley Colbert

Ashley has been attending and loving Resurrection West since 2016. You can find her on Sunday mornings in church with my husband, Ron, and my 3 kids-Evan (18), Kaitlyn (15), and Hunter (10). After enjoying time on staff for 4 years as the Nursery Director, she decided to shift her focus to Women’s Ministry in 2022. She loves to see women of all ages find the connections they are looking for through our Bible studies, small groups, serve projects, and more!

Paula is a mom of two grown children, stepmom of three grown daughters, Meme to four beautiful grands with a fifth due in April! She is married to Michael for ten years. After a change of life circumstance, she went back to school and got an Elementary Ed degree (2008) and taught K-1 in Olathe for ten years and currently teaches Kindergarten in KCK at Claude Huyck Elementary. She currently serves as an Usher at Brookside but has served in many volunteer roles at Resurrection over the past 30+ years, including a small group leader.
